Here Are The Best Saskatoon Patios this Summer!

Saskatchewan’s summers tend to be short, so when there is sunshine and warm weather, Saskatonians love to spend time on patios, soaking up the sun and enjoying food and drinks. There are many to choose from, but here are some of the ones that should not be missed if you visit Saskatoon.

Here are the BEST Saskatoon patios this summer.

The Yard & Flagon

After an unusually long, cold winter, the first day in April to hit 20 degrees saw many people in Saskatoon soaking up the warm sun along the South Saskatchewan River, in neighbourhood parks, and on newly re-opened patios. I made my way to the rooftop patio at The Yard & Flagon pub on Broadway, a Saskatoon street known for its unique shops, restaurants, independent theatre, and bars. My beau and I snagged one of the last available tables on the roof, where benches line the outer edge and a stone fireplace takes centre stage at one end to keep customers warm on cooler nights. With a mix of local craft beers, imported ales on tap, and delicious sangria, there is always a refreshing drink to be at this favourite rooftop getaway.
