As the second biggest country on Earth, Canada is the perfect place for an extended road trip. With highways spanning coast to coast to coast, you can literally drive to three oceans while passing through 12 provinces and territories. We did this last year during a 150-day road trip across the country called Canada’s Road to 150. There are so many things to do and see but if you’re looking for some of the highlights, here are ten places we wouldn’t miss.
Gros Morne’s Tablelands

Newfoundland is often left out of many people’s road trips, simply because it requires a 6-hour ferry from Nova Scotia. However, Newfoundland is an incredible place and home to Canada’s most friendly and welcoming people (in our opinion). It’s also home to Gros Morne National Park, where you’ll find a place called the Tablelands. This is one of the only places in the world where you can see and walk on the Earth’s mantle!
