Cape Breton’s Cabot Trail
Nova Scotia is home to a plethora of things to do and places to see but I certainly wouldn’t leave without driving along the famous Cabot Trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. This is an incredibly impressive drive with stunning views of the ocean. There’s also a number of light hikes you can do and beaches you can visit.
Hopewell Rocks
One thing you can’t miss when visiting the Maritimes is the Bay of Fundy, which is home to the highest tides in the world. There are a few places where you can witness the magnitude of the tides but the best place to really experience them is Hopewell Rocks. Here, you can walk on the ocean floor during low tide and marvel at the unique rock formations carved out over centuries. Then, just hours later, you can kayak in the very same place you just walked. It’s truly incredible.
